Praline French Toast
Servings: 1 9×13 pan
Equipment
- 1 9×13 pan
- 1 small pot
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread slice
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg;
- 1 pinch salt
- TOPPING
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- In a grease 13×9 baking dish. Arrange bread in 2 overlapping rows.
- combine eggs, half and half, milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt
- pour over bread and cover with foil and refrigerate overnight
- melt butter in pan over medium heat
- add the rest of the ingredients and stir constantly until smooth
- pour over bread
- bake uncovered for 40 minutes at 350 degrees
