This is a hearty breakfast for many or can be made and kept in the fridge and heated up throughout the week. You can mix up the fruit that you add. When I orginally tried this recipe it had half the sugar. It tasted good but was very bland. The current recipe involved my son having thirds which is high marks from my picky crew.

Baked Oatmeal with Fruit

Ingredients

  • 10 eggs
  • 2 cups water/milk
  • 2 cups apple sauce
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups shredded apples
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • Toppings
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degree
  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • slice butter and spread it on top and sprinkle the brown sugar on top.
  • bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch
