This isn’t a classic chicken and dumplings but it is delicious. The key is to brown vegetables and chicken before adding them to the Instant Pot.

Instant Pot Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients
- Dumplings
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1/4 cup conrmeal
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- Chicken
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 carrots sliced
- 3 celery slice
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 1/2 lb chicken cut into small pieces
- 4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Dumplings- Mix all the ingredients and set aside
- Chicken- add oil and butter and cook chicken and remove then add the vegetables and cook until soft
- Add flour thyme and turmeric until the vegetables are coated
- add chicken, vegetables and broth in instant pot, Scoop small spoon fulls of dumpling mix on top.
- Close intant pot and cook on Hugh for 3 minutes
