This is not your typical Stromboli but its is super yummy and easy. It is also eaten by all 5 of us which says a lot. Apparently my parents had them prepared this way at a restaurant and they recreated it and the rest is history. We generally make little slider ones so they can be an appetizer if you want.

Stromboli
Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage (not links)
- 8 oz mozzarella shredded
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 10 small mushrooms diced
- 10 slider buns
- sliced banana peppers sliced
Instructions
- saute onions and mushrooms with the butter
- add sausage once onions are cooked and cook until browned
- Drain and let cool slightly while preheating oven to 350 degrees
- Mix sausage mixture with cheese and then divide evenly onto slider buns. Bake until cheese is melted. Add banana peppers as desired
